Ontario Infectious Laryngotracheitis (ILT) Emergency Response Plan & Protocols for Commercial and Small Poultry Flocks
This Infectious Laryngotracheitis (ILT) Emergency Response Plan (ERP) is a repository of available information and resources necessary to prepare for and respond to a disease event in commercial poultry or small flocks in Ontario. It includes high-level guidance and detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and is intended for member organizations and stakeholders in Ontario responsible for ILT preparedness, response planning and implementation. This document was enabled by support provided by ‘Équipe québécoise de contrôle des maladies avicoles (EQCMA), veterinarians from Ontario Animal Health Network (OAHN), Feather Board Command Center (FBCC) and the Ontario Association of Poultry Veterinarians (OAPV).
This ILT ERP is considered a living document; all content and SOPs should be considered as drafts/working documents. It will need to be regularly reviewed and updated as warranted by changing circumstances and technical knowledge. This document was last updated on August 16th, 2022. Future updates will be coordinated by the Feather Board Command Centre (FBCC) and Ontario Animal Health Poultry Network (OAHN-Poultry).
